Usage Guidelines
Welcome to Sage Community Forums! Sage
Software, Inc. provides this Forum as a service to its customers to help them
discuss Sage Software products, by exchanging ideas, tips, information and
techniques related to those products. This forum is here for the enjoyment and
benefit of all members and is accessible to all who register and are 18 years
of age or older. Like any community, these types of forums are most valuable
when everyone obeys certain basic guidelines and rules for online behavior.
These guidelines and rules are presented here so that you know what is expected
of you and what you can expect from other participants when using the Sage
Community Forums. By registering, you agree to follow these Usage Guidelines.
1. Keep it relevant.
For everyone's benefit, please stay on topic.
The Forum is specifically provided to allow users and customers of Sage
Software to help each other in using Sage Software products. Please refrain
from discussing personal matters, abusing any company or product, or, in
general, from posting in a manner unrelated to the resolution of issues
regarding Sage Software products.
2. Keep it courteous.
Everyone wants to have a positive experience
while on the Forum - please make sure that you are not detracting from any
other user's experience. In particular, please refrain from posting anything
unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd,
harassing, threatening, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights,
abusive, inflammatory or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties.
Your opinions are always welcome, but personal attacks and harassment
('flaming') in either the Forum or through private messaging is not acceptable.
3. Keep it spam-free.
This community is provided as a service to
Sage Software customers and is not intended for the promotion of third party
services, products, websites, or organizations. Please refrain from posting
content that would constitute advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or
any other form of unauthorized solicitation.
4. Keep it legal.
It is unacceptable to post any material (i)
that would infringe on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other
proprietary rights of any party, (ii) that contains software viruses or any
other computer code or files that are designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the
functioning of any software or hardware, (iii) that is deemed to be illegal by
any local, state, federal, or international law, rule or regulation, or (iv)
that suggests or encourages illegal activity.
5. Be careful.
Most people are happy to help out on this
Forum, but remember that their advice is theirs only and that you are
responsible for deciding whether to follow it. If the advice given by a user
sounds wrong to you, do not try it. You should not post personal information on
this Forum including your name and address, age, or phone number.
Furthermore, if any user asks you for personal information, such as an
account number, address, password or credit card number, do not provide it.
6. Keep confidential
information confidential.
You may not use the Forum to disseminate or
discuss any confidential information of you, your company, Sage Software or any
other person or entity. You are solely responsible to ensure that anything you
post does not contain information that may be deemed confidential by a third
party. This includes any proprietary information, trade secrets, and the terms
or existence of Sage Software related agreements, nondisclosure agreements,
sales or service agreements or other information that may be deemed
confidential.

the right to remove content and limit users' access.

monitor content posted by participants in its Forum. However, Sage Software
retains the right, at its sole discretion, to limit users' access to the Forum

with the current Usage Guidelines, or that is otherwise inappropriate for this
Forum, harmful, objectionable, or inaccurate. Sage Software also retains the
right to assign such right to some members of the Forum community. Sage
Software is not responsible for any failure or delay in removing such material.
Moderators may take any action they deem necessary in their own judgment to
support the Usage Guidelines, and, in general, prohibit content that can
detract from the experience of other users or the purpose of the support
community. Such actions may include editing or deleting material and banning
individual users.
Violation of the Usage Guidelines or other
terms could result in the suspension or termination of your access to these
services. If your account is suspended, you will not be able to sign in.
8. Disclaimer of
Warranties and Limitation of Liability.

9. Signature Guidelines
A Signature is a block of text that is
appended to the end of a message or post. Generally, a signature is used to
provide the community members and guest with your name, business, and in some
cases a closing statement, quote or funny remark that encapsulates your
personality or personalizes the message. You have the option to type your
signature into individual messages or use the Signature feature in your member
profile settings. Signatures in the Member Profile will be limited to text only
with a maximum of 250 characters in no more than 3 horizontal lines of text.
All Signatures, whether automatically appended
to a message from your Member Profile, or typed separately should adhere to the
following guidelines: They may contain a company name and/or email address, but
may not contain text directing members to an external web site.
As a Community Member, if you are providing
help to other members and you work for a company affiliated with Sage Software
or your company makes a product that is considered an "add-on" to a
Sage Software product, we ask that you place your company name in your
signature.

intellectual property rights, or quality of any material that appears in the
